Most failures come down to one of a few things: infection in the gum and bone around the implant, an implant that never gripped the bone properly, or a bite that loads it more heavily than it can take.
Occasionally the implant is fine and the problem is the crown or the bridge on top. That is worth knowing before anything is removed, because it is a much smaller job to fix.
Not every ache means failure. But these are worth a scan rather than a wait.

Most problems are fixable, and the earlier they are looked at, the more options there are.
Honestly, the timeline varies: a new tooth can be ready within hours in the best case, or take the better part of a year in the most involved one. Step through the sequence.
A scan shows the bone around the implant. Sometimes the implant is sound and only the crown needs attention, which is a much smaller job.
The standard route. A Camlog or Straumann implant, an abutment, and a zirconia crown from our own laboratory.
A two-piece ceramic implant with a zirconia crown, for patients who want no metal in the mouth at all. Very few clinics in Europe offer this.
Where bone quality is good and the tooth is coming out anyway, the implant can go in at the same visit with a temporary crown straight away.
Removal itself is one of the smaller charges on our list. What it costs to put right afterwards depends on what is left behind.
Prices are indicative. The exact price of your treatment is worked out at your first consultation, once we have seen the X-rays. GBP figures are converted for guidance at about 427 HUF to the pound.

Looseness, soreness, bleeding gum, a taste that will not clear, or gum receding to show metal. Any of those is worth a scan.
It is done under local anaesthetic. An implant that has already lost its grip usually comes out easily.
Usually yes, though rarely on the same day. The site needs to heal first, and often needs bone rebuilt, which takes six to nine months.
